Deadbolt retrofit models attach to the interior side of your existing deadbolt, replacing only the thumb-turn. Your exterior hardware, your existing keys, and your door frame stay exactly as they are. Check the product listing for the specific deadbolt types each model supports before ordering.
Fingerprint and keypad entry work locally on the lock itself — no internet connection required for those methods. Wi-Fi is only necessary for remote app control. You do not lose physical access to your home if your router goes offline.
